Contemplation- INTJ Mind

It is a starry night. I am on top of the tallest mountain, even taller than the Everest. I am sitting quietly, next to me is my favorite kitten, curled up. There is no one in between me and my God except for the vastness of the sky. I am reading a chapter from the Al-Quran, praying and contemplating. As if the time has stopped and I am sitting like this for eternity. There is no hustle and bustle of the urban life. There is no one around me except for my cat. I did not find any human worth while to share this secret place of my mind.

When I make a dua after a prayer, I imagine myself at a place like the above, just to think that I am more closer to God. This is really therapeutic. This kind of contemplation calms me down and shuts the chatter in my head. It enables me to look inside myself from a different perspective and right after I finish prayer, my unresolved problems seem to be solvable. Because, with some quiet time with myself, I come up with better plans to tackle problems in real life.

My personality type is INTJ-A and the above was just an example of how I use my primary function Ni (Introverted Intuition) aka “perspective”. INTJs are scientific minded and often time stereotyped as atheists. Because of this, INTJs who believe in a higher power, often mistake themselves as INFJs. But my tertiary function Fi (Introverted Feeling) aka “authenticity” is derived from my personal and traditional values as well as my individual sense of morality and beauty. And a higher power or God is a big part of my inner world. My idea about God is- someone who is the supreme source of all energy and we are part of him. There is nothing to be confused about. Talking to God is like talking to my massive creator/parent spirit from whom my (and everyone else’s) spirit have been derived.

INTJs are labeled as mastermind. Am I a mastermind? The ultimate mastermind is my God in my opinion. That’s why I leave most matters on him while I inherently get a sense from my strong intuition what might happen, the different possibilities and what I should do to prepare.

It is very interesting that an INTJ personality image is always portrait as someone who is looking at things from a top of a mountain as if he/she is gaining a big picture perspective. Even when I didn’t know about my MBTI/Jungian type, I always contemplated myself like that. A time when most kids and teenagers play outside, I spent most of leisure reading science fiction, novels based on world history, religious texts etc. I am an engineer by profession and I was quite academic too. I always had this very out of the box type weird intellect. I don’t share much about my inner world and thought process with others.

Anyway….that’s it for today. Do you pray? how do you mediate or relax? Share in the comment.

EDITING TO ADD: I just came across this image. I am not into horoscopes/zodiac signs. But is it a pure coincidence that I am a Capricorn and an INTJ? This is funny. Here you can see a Capi aka “mountain goat” enjoying her solitude from the top of a peak point.

Thought of The Night- Arrogance or Confidence?

12/6/2016

10:41 PM

Tonight before going to bed I will share few words about the difference between arrogance and confidence. There is a fine line between these two but often time we blur it. Satan was fallen from the heaven because he refused to obey God due to his pride of being made of fire (in comparison to Adam who was made out of dirt). And ever since then all human being, society and culture, whenever reached the highest level of haughtiness and pride ,ended up in disaster. Just check the history of some people/civilizations/nations who were once reigning but their good times were ceased due to arrogance and evil doing.  I see a pattern in some people. When they show frequent arrogance, I sense their upcoming downfall. And indeed it does happen, every time, without any fail.

But confidence is something else. The self-assurance that we have certain good qualities and we can achieve certain goals if we work hard for it- is in fact vital in a person’s self-development. .”I believe I can do it” is a staple positive attitude towards life that can turn a nobody into somebody within no-times. Arrogance is when instead of being grateful people put their self-entitlement and pride on display. It is a bad thing when they try to use that arrogance to be condescending to others. Some people constantly do that and pass that on as their “confidence”. Arrogance is not confidence. One is from hell and the other takes you to heaven.

My mom always says, “Don’t say I am proud that I am doing this.. rather say, I am grateful that I am getting to do this.” Even changing the words when we speak can help us change our attitude. Let’s keep our feet on the ground and eyes on the prize.

Goodnight guys!

Thought of The Night (about reincarnation)

Yes, not a thought of the day. Every day I plan at work, when I get home I will finish a lot of housekeeping tasks. But when I finally get home, after taking a shower and having dinner, I lose all the energy. I just feel like curling up on the bed while reading something or writing something in my diary. Recently I have started blogging. But I leave story/article writing for the weekends. So I have decided to write “thought of the night” before going to bed (once in a while at least, if not regularly).

I do not believe in reincarnation. But in physics, according to the law of conservation of energy,

“Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it transforms from one form to another.”

We are all made out of energy. Our souls are energy. Perhaps when people die, people’s souls transform into different levels or types of energy. My mom says, “dreams don’t come true in one generation.” We have come this far in evolution through the sacrifices of our ancestors and some of us are probably finishing our previous generations’ unfinished business (or un-achieved dreams). This goes on and on from generation to generation. We pass our passion through our DNA to our off-springs as a form of some already-existing information imprinted into our consciousness (not only in our genes). It is also possible that each of our souls is a transformation of the collective consciousness of many souls, not just one soul.

Now, there are true stories of people who remembered their past lives incidents and have been able to prove their claims. I am not saying it cannot happen. God almighty can make anything happen and some people might have been given those rare chances. But if you believe in monotheistic religious concepts, I would like to ask the age-old common question: that if there is a day of judgment, heaven, and hell, then for which of our lives we will be punished or rewarded, if we had many lives? If we really had many births, why most of us cannot recall those past lives? What is the point of being born many times if you cannot remember what you did right or wrong the last time?

My opinion is, it is partly due to our DNA from our ancestors and partly having a developed soul from previously transformed soul(s), we feel like we are being reincarnated. But each of us is given only one life on earth and this is a test for us. Our spirits are part of God almighty who is the supreme source of energy, we came from him and eventually, we will all go back to him after death.

What is your opinion on this?
