Science or Pseudoscience: Jungian Cognitive Functions (Part 2)

* This is my personal blog and the views expressed here are purely subjective. I hope to write on this topic in several parts to shed light on how I am “strategically” using Jungian concepts in my personal development with a unique creative approach. My personal findings, opinion, and insights might help others who are on the same journey with me.

I have described in the first part that despite being a skeptic, I am using Jung’s Cognitive Functions as a temporary tool in my personal development. And I also went in depth about my own personality type and the confusion of myself being miss-typed as some other type. In later parts, I will describe my own personal model. But today I would like to address a few aspects which usually are in question.

We know that many psychologists debunk or refuse MBTI types. They question the validity or the credentials of MBTI tests because Myers and Briggs (mom and daughter duo) did not have any professional psychology background. They designed the tests based on Carl Jung’s Cognitive Functions Theory (who himself never tested it). They came up with a questionnaire which is too “leading”. I do agree with the flaws of those typical questions.

That’s why psychologists prefer some other type testing like the Big Five Personality tests which are too vague IMHO. In that regard, whether the whole “psychology” major is science or pseudoscience-that is even a bigger question. Sorry psychologists!

I am more into neuroscience than psychology. Hence, I am more prone to investigate the validity of Cognitive Functions Theory than the MBTI tests.

Bashar by Darryl Anka- A pro con artist?

So today I will talk about Bashar by Darryl Anka. Without any further ado, I will get right in my opinion. Darryl Anka’s Bashar is a pure B.S. His heavy breathing and twitching with his weird accent change are not enough to convince me that he channels an ET. Darryl plays it safe by saying that Bashar (ET) is from an “alternate” dimensional planet located 500 light-years away because no one has the means to verify that piece of information.

And Bashar is a “highly” intellectual ET who only understands English, no matter in which language you ask a question. And he says some really vague age-old spiritual sh*t. “One is all, all is one…” nothing is wrong with this kind of statement, but we have heard it many times already from many different people in many different ways. It is like selling the same wine in different bottles. And Darryl Anka had been doing it for the past 30 or more years, cheating people and making money.

Some people say his messages are useful no matter where it comes from. If you are finding it really hard to be spiritually motivated then you will find whatever he or any self-proclaimed spiritual leaders say- ”inspiring”.

Now I will talk about a few future predictions that Bashar made. Just to play safe Darryl/Bashar uses the method of probability and his excuse is if something does not happen in this universe, it might happen in another parallel universe. And since Bashar claims to come from an alternate dimension, his projection might be based on an alternate reality (if alternate realities do exist there are probably infinite amounts of them instead of being just one). So he wants to say, just because it did not or will not happen in our universe does not mean it did/will not happen anywhere else.

If that theory is correct, anyone can come up with some vague prediction that has about a 50% chance to come true. Well, if it doesn’t, then it might happen somewhere else! Let me give you some examples from this post: Re: Bashar’s predictions

1) The first point, says we will discover life on other planets between 2015 and 2017. Even if it is some kind of micro-organism like an amoeba.

“The probability factor of this happening between 2015 and 2017 is 98%.”

I thought NASA already discovered microorganisms on other planets. I will turn my head when I see we have discovered a real “humanoid” alien. Conspiracy theories of gray alien, reptilians, or Pleiadians won’t work. Otherwise, it is common sense that life can exist somewhere else besides this tiny planet called Earth.

2) The next one says, we will see a big change in our economic system starting from the fall of 2016. Oh well! US election results always affect the entire world politics and economic situation. Donald Trump won, but I don’t know if Hillary had won, how much it would change that global economic diaspora. But Bashar also claims that after this particular contraction (change in the economy), will be the complete revamping of our taxation system. That is a bit more specific, but we will see what happens in the future.

3) And if the economic system changes sure that will be a change in the political system as well.

4) The rest of the points are basically saying that we are expecting some huge stir in our economic and sociopolitical system as well as in the use of energy.

I am not sure if these things will happen within the given years by Bashar, but the majority of the global shift has already started taking place.

Conning people with creativity takes a lot of dedication and intellectual ability. And I am sure Darryl Anka reads more books about end-time prophecies than we do. He has taken everything from religious texts to scientific books and described them through his “imaginary” Bashar’s way.

Thought of The Night- Parallel Reality

If you are not familiar with the concept of Parallel Reality, read that post and also check Cynthia Sue Larson‘s page. The reason why I am sharing her link is that so far I have found her way of describing parallel reality somewhat convincing. I am not getting paid to endorse her or anything.

I was watching one of her interviews on YouTube one day where she talked about small anomalies in our daily lives which are probably the result of parallel shifting or reality jumping. For example, suppose you firmly believe you must have placed your matching socks at the same place. But you end up finding them in different places. Or you did not find your car keys where you usually keep them etc. You later think you might just have forgotten or were not paying enough attention. But you might have made reality jumps! Sounds fascinating. Isn’t it?

About a couple of months ago. One day I lost my locker key at work. We are not allowed to bring personal devices inside the lab. We have to put our phones outside in lockers. Each locker has a key to it. So we keep the key until we get out of the workspace and take our private belongings back from the locker. I am one of those people who have great memories and I usually do not forget any details. It is very unlikely of me to lose focus and forget what I was doing. Just like the other days, I had put the key in my pocket after putting my purse in the locker. Then when I came back I didn’t find my key in my pocket and just to be sure I went back to the bathroom, cafeteria, office desk, lab, etc. I thoroughly checked but nope, just didn’t find it. The manager opened the locker with his common key, so it was resolved. But I cannot forget, where did the key go? This is a small incident but it bothers me.

On September 7, I wished my co-worker a happy birthday and he said his birthday was a few weeks ago. But one day at lunch I remember he mentioned his birthday was on September 7.

Now probably I forget things way too often then I think. Probably we are not shifting between parallel realities. But what if we are actually? The reason why this concept bothers me is the word “parallel”. Way too many physicists are now claiming that parallel universes exist.

My point is that even if they do, they cannot collide because they are parallel to each other like layers unless there is some sort of wormhole.

So in order to physically move from one parallel universe to another, you must go through a wormhole. It also does make sense that our doppelgangers might be simultaneously existing in all these different universes and only our current state of awareness can move from one parallel universe to another without physically making that shift. But the question is how?

Cynthia Sue Larson claims that just by having an open mind and imagining a doorway to another parallel universe one can shift through time and space. If you need another new age life hack positivity trick, this might work for you. But there is a difference between imagining yourself to be the best of “you” from another parallel reality than jumping to a reality where everything has slightly changed including you.

A Date Night On Mars

A Date Night-

Lana is sitting next to a giant oval-shaped window in a cafe called “Cafe Blue Moon”. She asks Kee, her boyfriend, in her thoughts (through her implanted bio-cell chip) how long Kee will take to come. While waiting for him, she is looking at the vast Martian reddish landscape with a bright greenish tint of the artificial earthlike atmosphere layer created from the nearby ozone-house.

She had a chance to go back to visit Earth a few years ago. Earth is not the same anymore. Even with all the damage that human species caused to Mother Earth, she is still far better than Mars in Lana’s opinion. Although quite extreme and unpredictable, Earth still has a breathable atmosphere for humans. Lana is nostalgic about the moonlit night experience she had while staring at the present otherworldly scenery. It was the first time she stepped outside on Earth’s surface without a special suit and an ozonic helmet. She breathed fresh air for the first time in her life, but was informed it is not fresh anymore, still, it reminded her as if she is home. Now she is telling herself, “Cafe Blue Moon what an ironic name for a cafe on Mars!”

Back Story –

It is 2233 now, 200 years since humans first made a manned journey to Mars. Lana and Kee are middle-class Martian people, but their ancestors were privileged earthlings who left Earth in the face of catastrophe. She read from the diaries of her great grandparents that it took human civilization many years to make a major leap from landing on earth’s moon to step foot on Mars, and eventually colonizing Mars through a lot of trial and error. There were a lot of socio-political and economic obstacles against this great step of human evolution. Some people even mocked at this idea, saying, why do we need to spend money to die on Mars when there are so many real problems we should fix on our earth? But by 2050 things had gone so out of hand that now rich people were spending money to relocate to Mars, to escape away from the horror of wars and terror. Some people till this date blame the oil industry behind the demise of our beloved earth. They say the oil industry is a key player behind the environmental disaster, politics, wars, terror, greed and the major cause of keeping the advanced energy-saving and space-based technology away from the general public for a long time. There are still a few under-privileged humans left on Earth who are trying to survive in harsh, extreme weather without much help from technology.

When Lana landed on Earth with her crew, from far away she was observing some people riding horses and wearing a primitive outfit made from animal skin. She read in the history book, that is how human civilization started and that is where earthlings are left to be now!

By the year 2100, a large number of people from Earth permanently left for Mars and some for other inhabitable planets. But Lana thinks the power play of human species never stopped. There is still a social division based on economic status. People who belong to the wealthy and privileged upper class are trying to colonize the Earth-like planets in nearest neighborhood galaxies. This is not a recent breakthrough. In fact, it has been going around for a while, in parallel with the struggle of artificially making Mars-like planets habitable. The people in power want to control who takes the journey to the special habitable planets. They have already sent selected people to spaceships, putting them to sleep in cryogenic hibernation. There are only rumored stories on how far these spaceships have gone. But these are classified projects that are beyond the reach of people like Lana and Kee. Some say, Martian humans, have mastered the technology of artificial warm whole and anti-matter propulsion systems a long time ago and has already put it into use to travel to very far places in the universe. Again, there is no way to verify this by middle-class Martians, this might be another rumor. Lana thinks that history is repeating itself, that instead of making all innovation and knowledge accessible to the general public, the upper class is controlling it for their own selfish agenda.

Every human baby born by now on Mars is genetically engineered and people’s life expectancy, thus has increased dramatically eliminating all possible hereditary diseases. Some WiFi enabled bio-chips are installed in their bodies which help them to communicate through their mind without using any words. They can search for any information in their head and they can also create holographic virtual screens to project information through their body parts. This widespread technology uses human’s coherent thoughts to do things that early computers or cell phones would do. Because of all these bio-implants, people argue that they are not fully human anymore. They are artificial human beings, previously termed cyborgs. The physical, demographic and capability of each individual is controlled by the authority- creating differences or diversity among people.

The sophisticated AI industry has changed the game of the private transportation industry completely, while public transportation is a majorly Hyperloop technology-based. All private/individual transportation modes are fully autonomous. Whenever a person calls his or her mode of transportation in the head, it appears at convenient locations and it reads fingerprints of the owner to get started for the journey. It is almost like owning autonomous horses who can also switch gears to fly. Some of this technology was already developed on earth, human species just have taken it with them in outer space and have been modifying it ever since.

Back at the present moment-

Lana and Kee, unlike the current Martian youngsters, are very romantic. They love to read about the world’s and human civilization’s ancient history, poetry, literature and like to enjoy old classic films together. They often do things to create the old world charms and romanticism.

Lana is just about to ask one more time, what is happening to Kee? Although Kee can easily reply through his telepathic concepts, he decided to do something different. He sent a robotic bird with an envelope to Lana. When Lana opened the envelope, a holographic screen came out of it and it reads in Kee’s voice, “Something important came up at the last minute sweetie! I cannot come today. I am sorry… I love you.”

Dolores Barrios- Alien Woman!?

I wrote this post from a very subjective point of view. I am a skeptic for most UFO/ET BS. Although I write on a wide variety of topics, for some very weird reason, this is one of my most viewed articles on this blog-which tells me that there are far too many UFO/ET enthusiasts out there.

I have always been an uber-nerd and have been reading and taking part in space and “sciency” discussions for as long as I can remember. More recently I have been spending part of my spare time reading a lot of “space-related” theoretical physics and metaphysics topics. Now, this is a subject where only a few things have been scientifically proven and there is a wide majority of topics that need to be explored. And no matter how much more advanced or evolved we-human civilization becomes, we can just never have enough knowledge and discovery of this vast and ever-expanding universe. Because of that reason, there is way more garbage than true authentic information around the internet. The Internet is nowadays the mother of all knowledge. But that also means we sometimes care less about the credibility of the information presented, and more about the content.

Anyways, one of my interesting finds on the internet has been about life on other planets/etc. I will present more of these weird findings and my own opinion later. But today I am going to focus on this fascinating lady named Dolores Barrios. I was watching YouTube videos and found this commercial a few times about something called “Cosmic Disclosure: Gaia”. Probably you have seen it or will see it as an advertisement. There they are talking about Nordic Aliens’ secret civilization and “these” Nordic-looking beings while showing this lady-Dolores Barrios’ photo. I did not even know her name or where or how to find information about her at that point but her face stuck in my head. I thought, “OMG! Look at her. What a unique pretty face!” Her face seems very much human but there is something about her.

I have been reading and watching videos back and forth about Billy Meiers’ Case, Bashar by Darryl Anka, Betty and Bernie Hill and many many other alien contactees and abductees (perhaps I will discuss them later in my other posts as well). But as far as I have found, this whole UFO trend started around 1940-50s and continued to stay as a so-called “new age” hot topic up until the late 80’s or early ’90s. Since then, things have thwarted a bit for various global socio-political reasons.

But George Adamski is kind of like a pioneer (or one of the pioneers) in this UFO/Alien contacts/abduction case. He claimed to have contact with Venusians. This was not known back in the ’50s, but now we all know that Venus is an uninhabitable planet for us due to its close proximity to the sun and extreme environment (Click on this link for more info: Life on Venus). UFO-Undefined Flying Objects do not necessarily need to be alien spacecraft. That is what we think by default. Either Adamski himself was a con artist or those so-called Venusians were con artists pretending to be aliens. Or it might just be an arrangement between them to con people.

Adamski was presenting his case at this UFO conference back in 1954 in California, where this exotic looking lady along with two other men appeared in that event. Just search with her name “Dolores Barrios” on google and you will find enough information. People have been scrutinizing her photos, postures, etc. (Check this link: Do you remember Dolores Barrios, the woman from the planet Venus??? ). The other two men are pretty normal looking IMO.

What is my take on this? I am very skeptical and I don’t believe just about anything without concrete evidence. Until this date, more of these UFO/ET related claims are, well, just claims. A lot of cosmology, astrology, spiritual concepts are mixed together with metaphysics and paranormal events in these types of claims which make this whole topic a hot mess. Sorry for my strong use of words! I don’t think this lady is Venusian or Nordic Alien or Pleiadian. She does have a very distinctive-almost pillar-shaped nose, her eyes are far apart and she has a broad forehead. She has absolutely beautiful- big eyes and nice fuller lips. The expression seems much more human and humble. If you search more about the typical feature of Nordic aliens, a lot of contactees claim some of these common physical traits (tall built, long nose, long face, far apart big eyes, big forehead, attractive looking etc, in majority of the suspects of the cases have luminous blue eyes and very pale skin and hair). But for me, she is just a beautiful lady. It seems like even an alien wears eyeliner and possibly fake eyelashes, eh! Some people around the internet (and also in the link that I provided above) pointed out from this standing pose picture below, that she is probably a male alien disguised as a female and they have presented their reasoning. But I think I have seen a lot of tall, athletic-looking ladies who don’t have very feminine figures but have beautiful faces. I think most runway supermodels are tall and lanky. So it does not seem very odd to me.

If we really have to suspect all slightly unique looking individuals as aliens, then the presence of these alien beings is probably far too common among us than we think. That brings us to the next question, do we know where we are coming from? Are most of us aliens? I find all the claims about star-seeds total bullshit.
